- Description
- The multi-depot vehicle routing problem (MDVRP) is a variant of the standard vehicle routing problem in which there are multiple depots at which vehicles can start and end their routes. We develop an integer programming-based heuristic for the MDVRP. In our heuristic, we use integer programming to improve solutions to the MDVRP by relocating strings of consecutive customers on routes. We apply our heuristic to 23 benchmark instances and produce high-quality results.
